Returns & Warranty Policy

We stand behind the instruments and repairs we sell. This policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities.

1. Returns for Instruments

  • You may request a return within 14 days of receipt for a refund (minus original shipping if applicable), provided:
  • The instrument is in the same condition as received
  • All included items (bow, case, accessories) are returned
  • You provide proof of purchase
  • Returns must be pre-approved — email service@schoolbandclass.com first
  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or with an undisclosed defect

2. Damaged or Defective Items

  • If an item arrives damaged or with undisclosed defects, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
  • We will arrange replacement, repair, or refund at our discretion based on the issue.

3. Repair Workmanship Warranty

  • Repairs performed by School Band Class carry a 30-day workmanship warranty from the date of service.
  • Covers issues directly resulting from our repair work (e.g., seams we glued, setups we performed).
  • Does not cover normal wear, new damage after return, or pre-existing conditions we did not work on.

4. Pre-Owned & Surplus Instruments

Many instruments are pre-owned, refurbished, or sourced from school surplus and estates. We disclose known condition to the best of our ability. Pre-owned instruments are sold as described — please read listings carefully.

5. Non-Returnable Items

Unless defective on arrival, the following are generally non-returnable:

  • Final-sale / clearance items marked as such
  • Custom-ordered or specially ordered products
  • Parts and consumables once opened
  • Digital goods or services already delivered

6. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within a reasonable processing window after we receive and inspect the return. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

7. How to Start a Claim

Email service@schoolbandclass.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos (if applicable)

We typically respond within 1–2 business days.
