VIOLIN
How to Learn Violin (First Month)
A practical first month on Violin using free School Band Class tools—no account required.
Week-by-week focus
- Week 1 — Sound: Assemble/hold correctly. Long tones or open strings with the tuner.
- Week 2 — Time: Practice with the metronome slower than the marked tempo.
- Week 3 — Notes: Use the Beginner Book 1 pack for Violin.
- Week 4 — Piece: One short melody you can play start to finish. Record once and listen.
Daily 10–15 minutes
- 2 min tune / long tone
- 3 min scale or warm-up (library scales)
- 5–8 min piece work (small sections)
Family: Strings. If the instrument fights you (won’t seal, won’t stay in tune, painful setup), get a shop check—beginner struggle should be musical, not mechanical.
