PIANO / KEYBOARD
How to Care for a Piano / Keyboard
Basic care for a student Piano / Keyboard so home practice stays fair.
Do these every week
- Keep liquids away; dust lightly with a dry cloth.
- Support stands properly; keyboards hate falls.
- Use a simple sustain pedal only if it matches the jack.
Red flags (take to a shop): cracks, open seams, keys that won’t close, valves that freeze, buzzing that isn’t “student tone,” smell of mold in cases.
