GUITAR
How to Care for a Guitar
Basic care for a student Guitar so home practice stays fair.
Do these every week
- Wipe strings after playing; wash hands before practice.
- Store in a case with stable humidity if possible.
- Change strings when tone dies or intonation suffers.
- Action / truss rod issues → tech, not random YouTube for a school instrument.
Red flags (take to a shop): cracks, open seams, keys that won’t close, valves that freeze, buzzing that isn’t “student tone,” smell of mold in cases.
